Joan Irene (Erskine) McCormick (Loving wife, mother and grandmother) Geneseo Joan I. McCormick, 75, recently of Meadow Drive, passed away peacefully on Wednesday February 12, 2020 at Noyes Memorial Hospital. She was born on Monday November 20, 1944 in Hornell, the daughter of Howard Erskine and Esther Rice Erskine. She was a graduate of Hornell High School, and had just recently moved back to the area due to declining health. She was predeceased by her parents, 2 sisters Mary Jean Grow, Maria Petteys, a daughter Bernice McCormick, step daughter Tina Graves, and step son Herm Walker Jr. Survivors Include: Her companion of 29 years Herm Walker of Geneseo, her sister Joyce Karns of Arkport, 4 brothers Chester (Bonnie) Erskine of Canisteo, Lester (Janice) Erskine of Canisteo, John (Linda) Erskine of Florida, Howard (Jean) Erskine of Florida, Her sons Bryan (Carrie) McCormick of South Canisteo, Bruce McCormick of Wellsville, step children Hope (Bobbie-Jo) Krywanczyk of Geneseo, Lisa (David) Walker-Wagner of Canisteo, Lyle (Melissa) Walker of Bath, grandsons Cheynne McCormick of Florida, Nicholas McCormick of Texas, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Feb 22 at 1:00 PM at the Bender - Brown & Powers Funeral Home 354 Canisteo Street, in Hornell, with Pastor Dan Todd officiating.
