I have lots of memories of Charlie most I can put in print some I can’t...when I think of Charlie I think about my brother about racing and all the crazy times we had..the talks Charlie and I had after we lost Earle (I hope you said hello to him for me) the time I said I was his sister to visit him at strong, Charlie asking me for a “coke”... I wasn’t sure if he was going to pull through that time but he wanted that drink... I am sorry I didn’t get the chance to visit him....I always have the racing stories... to you his family and friends he will be sadly missed...
Charlie was a brilliant man. If there is such a thing as a "Jack of All Trades" it was Charlie. Master mechanic and fabricator skills made him exceptional. Charlie's greatest attribute however was his ability to teach. If you showed the interest while he was doing it he would show you and make sure you understood. As a kid I started hanging out when the shop was on Second Street. There are things that I learned 35 years ago that I still use today. Godspeed Charlie and thank you for your patience and your time
