Obituary of Tanya Marie Morris

Tanya Marie Morris Canaseraga Tanya Morris, 66, of Mill Street, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Born in Burlington, Vermont on October 11, 1954, the daughter of Raymond and Paulita (Izor) Travis Jr. she had resided in the area since 1973. Coming from Framingham, Massachusetts, she was a graduate of Natick High School class of 1972. Tanya married Charles Morris in August 1972 and was happily married for 48 years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from SUNY Geneseo in 1993. Tanya had been employed for several years as a social worker for Allegany County and to many, she will be fondly remembered as a loving, caring and compassionate family-oriented person. Tanya viewed the world through rose colored glasses and showed unconditional love to all those she encountered. She was predeceased by her parents, her brother; Raymond Travis III as well as her sister; Naomi Lindsey. Tanya is survived by her husband; Charles Morris whom she married on August 26, 1972, four sons; Vincent (Heather) Morris of Allen, TX, Nicholas Morris of South Dansville, Anthony (Jamie) Morris of Bishopville and Lucas (Courtney) Morris of Wayland, daughter Paulita (Karl) Parker of Canaseraga, brothers; Paul (Gail) Travis of Corning and William (Laurie) Travis of Canaseraga, sisters; Aneysa (Todd) Fowler of Bloomfield, NY and Anatasha (Greg) Kingsland of Buffalo, grandchildren; Nathaniel (Brittany) Libertone of Jacksonville, NC, Kassandra Parker of Kerrville, TX, Mikayla (David) Robinson of Jacksonville, NC, Cole Young of Greenwood, Erinne Parker of Dansville, Jacey Morris of Norman, OK, Aylah (Hunter) Allen of Greenwood, Joseph Morris of Norman, OK, Valerie Parker of Dansville, Nicholas Morris Jr. of South Dansville, Julia Morris of Allen, TX, Michael Morris of South Dansville, Benjamin Parker of Canaseraga, Noel Routly of Canaseraga, Gideon Morris of Wayland and Tristin Morris of Wayland, five great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
