Obituary of Raymond N Tychi

Raymond Tychi Hornell Raymond Tychi, 57 of County route 109, passed away Monday May 24, 2021 at his home in Hornell surrounded by his family. Born in Hornell on March 27, 1964 the son of Nicholas and Irene (Kame) Tychi he had resided his entire life in the Hornell area. He was graduate of Hornell Senior High School, class of 1982 and had attended Alfred State University. Raymond worked at Bausch Health in Rochester for twenty years. He started his career there as a contractor at the help desk. He transitioned into the security team after a year and became a full time employee in 2020 taking the role of Manager of IT Security Operations managing user provisioning globally. Raymond was a dedicated worker, often working from home on the weekends and will be fondly remembered for his love of flowers and his family. He was predeceased by his father Nicholas Tychi as well as two brothers; Randy and Tim Tychi and his dog (Raina) who was his pride and joy. Survivors include; his mother Irene Tychi of (Hornell), his domestic partner of 23 years; Timothy Butler of (Hornell), brother; Tom (Denise) Tychi of Hornell, sisters; Cindy Tychi of Wallingford, CT, Linda Wyant of Hornell, Patti Panter of Hornell, Karen (Joe) Carbone of Hornell and Kristie Tychi of Hornell, ten nieces and nephews; Bridget Wyant, Andy Tychi, Kelly Murphy, Jennifer Kent (Brian), Amy Tychi, Jaime Hines, Luke Towner, Dominick Carbone, Nicole Tychi (Aaron) and Kyle Carbone (Paige), ten great nieces and nephews; Nolan Tychi, Madison Matthews (George), Melissa Murphy, Jeremiah Howard, Brianna Kent, Kalib Tanuis, Kai Sharp, Natalia Tanuis, Levi Carbone and Kasen Carbone. Life time friend; Bill Oyer. At Raymond’s request there will be no calling hours. A private celebration of life will be held by family at a future date.
