Cheryl Lynn Holbrook, 58 of Wilkins Road, Burns, passed away unexpectedly Thursday (May 27, 2021) at Noyes Hospital in Dansville,
Born in Richmond, Virginia, December 28, 1962, the daughter of Paul R. and Verdie Shirk Sherman, she had resided in Texas until moving to the Arkport area in 1979. She had been employed at Dollar General in Hornell.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband; Michael in 2013.
Surviving are her sons; Michael (Bonnie) Holbrook of Burns, and Chad (Tory) Holbrook of Hornell, her sisters; Cheryl Hall (Rouben Gutierrez of Virginia, Tina (Robert) Hendrix of Virginia, Anna (Bruce) Blake of Arkport, Toko (Frank) Eveland of Florida, and April (Michael) Bartoe of Virginia, her brothers; Kirk Sherman (Dianne) of Virginia, and Joseph (Jessica) Sherman of Canaseraga, her step-mother; Randi Sherman of Canaseraga and her mother-in-law; Pearl Holbrook of Burns, her grandchildren; Gabriella Holbrook, Zoey Holbrook, Ezra Holbrook, Nehemiah Holbrook, Jaysyne Miller, Luna Miller and Harley Worden, several nieces nephews and cousins.

The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday (June 2, 2021) to receive friends from 11AM until 1 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell where funeral services will follow calling hours at 1 PM with Rev. Paul Palmer and Rev. Pat Harrison officiating. Burial will be in Bath National Cemetery.
