Obituary of Erich Joseph Beaver

Erich “Ricky” Beaver Hornell Erich “Ricky” Beaver, 60 of East Avenue, passed away Friday (June 4, 2021) at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Hornell, October 14, 1960, the son of Joseph and Helen Hilyard Beaver, he resided his entire life in Hornell and was a graduate of Hornell High School .Ricky served his country as a member of the United States Navy, was employed for several years as an orderly at the former Bethesda Community Hospital in North Hornell, and most recently, was employed as a truck driver for the Department of Public Works in the City of Hornell. He was a member of Our Lady Of The Valley Parish and a communicant of St. Ann’s Church in Hornell as well as a member of the Knights Of Columbus in Hornell. Ricky was a NASCAR fan, enjoyed attending races at the Woodhull Raceway, and especially enjoyed following and supporting the LA Raiders, Notre Dame and the New York Mets. He was predeceased by his parents. Surviving are his wife; Penelope DuBois Beaver of Hornell, his daughters; Hiliary (Michael) Woodward of Canisteo and Hannah (Alan) Raycroft of Hornell, his sister; Cynthia Fairman of Hornell and his brother; Stephen Beaver of Hornell, his grandchildren; Thomas Woodward, Allison Woodward, Braidon Woodward, Madison Raycroft, Xzavier Raycroft and Briella Raycroft, and his special canine friend “Mavrick” who he affectionately called “The Pup”, his brothers-in-law; Carl (Shelley) DuBois of Canisteo and Kevin (Amber) DuBois of Canisteo, his uncles; Jack Beaver of Hornell and James (Mary Kay) Beaver of Hornell, several nieces and nephews.
