David brought me to AU to track in his Psych Dept and we became life-long friends. He was thoughtful, shy, and able to enjoy and enhance life’s simple pleasures. I respected him for his genuineness and will remember him with great fondness. My condolences to his former wife Lana, a caring friend, and his lovely daughter Kristen.

I took Abnormal Psychology form Dr. Meissner while I was a student in the Nursing program at AU circa 1978. I had to have this class to be able to take Community Health Nursing in the summer. At this time I was teaching Clinical 2 days a week at Alfred State limiting when I could take the Community Health course to summer. Dr. Meissner allowed me to come to class when I could and get the notes from a classmate. My plan was to do the assignments, take tests and final. Dr. Meissner had another plan and he wrote a challenge exam for me, which I passed, and enabled me to go on with the Nursing program and graduate. Thank you Dr. Meissner!
