Chun Cha Kieda Arkport Chun Cha Kieda, 77 a resident of the Oakes, passed away Saturday (Sept. 11, 2021) at Elderwood at Hornell. Born in Seoul, South Korea. July 25, 1944, the daughter of Yong Beom Oh and Geumja Um Oh, she came to the United States and settled in Montana before coming to Hornell in 1984. CC, as she was affectionately known, was widely welcomed into the local community where she enjoyed a wonderful life for 35 years, and made many friends. She worked for Marion-Rohr, Morrison-Knudsen and Alstom. She was a member of the Hornell United Methodist Church and a member of the Sally Marquis group. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and line dancing. She also enjoyed being a member of Bone Builders in Arkport. She was predeceased by her parents, and her first husband; William Plank. She is survived by her husband; Paul Kieda of Arkport, her sister; Kim (George) Fry of Pennsylvania, and her brother; Jeong Ho Oh of South Korea. Also surviving are her niece; Gwen (Jeff) Farrell of Maryland, and nephews; Heejun (Hyerin) Oh of South Korea and Hyeon Jun Oh of South Korea, great nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends on Saturday (Sept. 18, 2021) from 11 AM until 1:00 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home. 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell where funeral services will follow calling hours at 1PM. Rev. Lenny Fuller will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Canisteo. Friends wishing to remember CC are asked to make a memorial contribution to the Parkinson’s Foundation.
