Obituary of Jane Theresa Perry

South Royalton, VT – Jane Theresa (Harrington) Perry, formerly from 44 South St., Angelica, NY, born February 22, 1940 to the late Winifred (Faulkner) and Robert Harrington, passed away September 12, 2021. Jane graduated from Belfast Central School, married Robert Perry and brought up 5 children in Angelica. Later in life she moved to Bradenton, FL, near daughter, Sue, and more recently to South Royalton, VT with daughters, Rhonda and Sandie. Jane’s passions were family, friends, and feeding people. The house on South Street in Angelica was a neighborhood backyard, hosting countless games of baseball, kickball, lawn jarts, hide and seek, and other activities to keep 5 kids and their friends occupied. For years Jane operated a hair salon in the South Street house, and made many life-long friends there. Later she helped out at the Shell Station, worked at Acme Battery Factory and then with children in schools. Her last paid position was in the cafeteria of an elementary program in Bradenton, FL, until Bob’s health required their move to Vermont. Jane doted on her 13 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was happiest when baking peanutbutter or chocolate chip cookies to tempt them. When visiting “Gramma Jane” she would feed you breakfast, immediately start planning lunch, and then dinner and probably a bedtime snack. She loved visiting with friends, playing bingo or cards, or just enjoying coffee and a chat. Jane was pre-deceased by husband, Robert Perry and brother, Robert Harrington. She is survived by sister Mary (Jim) Jelleson, of Belfast, NY, 5 children Rhonda(Tim) Murphy, S.Royalton, VT; Pat(Tony) Kozlowski, Wellsville, NY; Sue(Mark) Domer, Bradenton, FL; Sandie(Mike) Sawyer, Bridgewater, VT; and Bob(Lisa) Perry, Angelica, NY; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great- nephews. Calling hours are Friday, September 17th, from 11AM – 1PM with memorial service immediately following at Brown & Powers Funeral Home, Angelica NY, and cemetery service at Until Day Dawn cemetery in Angelica. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Angelica Fire Department, the Angelica Legion, or the Angelica Free Library.
