Darlene A. Ford Greenwood Darlene Ford passed away Friday (September 17, 2021) from a long term illness, peacefully with family by her side. Loving wife, daughter, mother and friend, she was predeceased by her father Maurice Middaugh, sister; Cindy Middaugh, and grandson Trenton Papineau. Surviving are husband Rockie Ford, mother Barbara Taylor, sister Tammy Gesler, brother James Middaugh, brother Jon Taylor, brother Jr Middaugh. Daughters Kelly (Matt) Graham, Wendy (Richard) Cooper, Brandy Ford( Jeremiah Blue) and Mindy (Aaron) Evingham Grandchildren Tanner Button, Carson Frungillo, Austyn Cooper, Alexa Cooper, Zander Papineau, Jocelyn Papineau, MacKenzie Putnam, Makayla Evingham, Megan Evingham, and Quentin Evingham. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Darlene worked and retired from the Greenwood Central School where she touched many lives inside and outside of the school. She enjoyed supporting her children and watching them play sports and being the loudest one in the crowd. She was a mother figure to many more who would be at the house, and was always willing to take them in under her wing. She enjoyed music and dancing when she could and enjoyed planting her flower gardens and had a fond admiration for birds. The thing she loved the most was her lifelong partner and husband Rockie, along with her children and grandchildren. Being a Nana was her biggest pride. Two of Darlene’s favorite pastimes were jigsaw puzzles and giving the staff at the Wellsville Manor Care Center a hard time. The family will be present to receive friends on Thursday (Sept. 23) from 1-3 and 5-7 PM at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street, Canisteo. A funeral service will follow visitation at 7:00 PM with Pastor Matt Sassano officiating.
