Gerald “Jiggs” Frederick Hadsell

Gerald “Jiggs” Hadsell, 81 of State Route 244, passed away peacefully on Thursday (September 23, 2021) at home after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Friendship on January 10, 1940 the son of Frederick Hadsell and Jennie Stuck Hadsell. On December 5, 1959 he married the love of his life L. Jeanne (Whitwood) Hadsell who survives. Jiggs was retired from Dresser-Rand in 2005 as a machinist, and had also worked as a dairy farmer all his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an all around great man.
In addition to his wife of 61 years L. Jeanne Hadsell, he is survived by his daughter Loretta (Stanley) Cline, 2 sons William Hadsell, Charles Hadsell, adopted son Marc Luce, his brother Ken (Barb) Hadsell, his grandchildren Nick, Andrew, Tonya, Tiffany, step grandchildren Derek, Bridget, Breanna, his great grandchildren Nicole, Jamie, Brooke and Shane, several step great grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers Clyde, Don, Robert Hadsell, his sister Edna, and his son Russell Hadsell.
It was Jiggs request not to have any services. He will be buried next to his son at Forest Hills Cemetery in Belmont.
