Delores M. Johner Hornell Delores M. Johner, 87, of Purdy Creek Road, passed away Saturday (Sept. 25, 2021) at St. James Hospital. She was born in the Town of Hartsville, Feb. 9, 1934, the daughter of Ernest Paul Flint Sr. and Dorothy (Sills) Flint. She had resided her entire life in this area. She was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, and received her Licensed Practical Nursing degree from the former St. James Hospital School of Nursing. She was employed for 34 years at the Hornell Gardens. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Harold Johner in 1992, her son William Johner, her brothers; Paul and David Flint, and her grandson; Jeffery Johner. Surviving are her daughters; Deborah (Gary) Burdell of Florida, Jeanna Olin of Hornell and Delcie (Randy) Palmer of Hornell, her sons; John Johner of Florida and Jeffery (Barbara) Johner of Hornell, her sister; Cheryl Newland of Nunda, and her brother; Darwin (Donna) Flint of South Dansville, Her grandchildren; Brandy Ferguson of Florida, Jennifer (Andy) Billotte of Bath, Justin Palmer of Hornell, Alicia Palmer of Pennsylvania, Andrew (Aimu) Olin of Almond, Samuel Olin of Hornell and Alexie (Josh) Betts of Highland, NY, great grandchildren; Grace Anne Billotte, Alaina Billotte, Nia Olin, Hazel Kauffman, Alexandria Johner, Victoria Johner, and Michael Ferguson all of Florida, and longtime family friend Lavern Garner. It was Delores’ wishes that there be no calling hours or services. The family is being assisted by Gerald R. Brown, Director at Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Canisteo. Those wishing to remember Delores, may consider an contribution to the Hornell Area Humane Society or to the American Cancer Society
