Obituary of Timothy Douglas Lockwood

Please share a memory of Timothy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Timothy D. Lockwood Rexville On Monday, October 18, 2021, Timothy Lockwood, 56, left this world to be reunited with family and friends in the Kingdom of God. He was born in Warsaw to Clifford & Ella Lockwood. In 1994, he married his wife of 27 years, Merrie (Ford) Lockwood. Tim was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Faith, his Mother, Ella (Carmer) Lockwood, his Father-in-law Roderick Ford and his twin infant siblings: brother, Kevin, and sister, Lori. He will be greatly missed by many, including his Father Clifford Lockwood, of North Chili (formally Nunda), his Brother Terry (Cindy) Lockwood of Henrietta, Mother-In-Law Doris Ford (Greenwood), his Brother-In-Law Roderick Ford II (Rik) of Greenwood; Children Shane Lockwood & Vince Lockwood of Rexville, and Grandchildren Ember Lockwood & Lincoln Lockwood of Wellsville. Tim attended Alfred State College obtaining his Associates Degree as a Mechanical Technician. Shortly afterwards he was hired by Corning Incorporated and had worked in the Decker Building, Sullivan Park and most recently at the Big Flats Innovation Support Center. He was a dedicated employee for 24 years. He had received two patents during his time there. In his spare time, Tim was an avid lover and supporter of local asphalt modified racing as well as NHRA drag racing. His passion also ran deep for classic muscle cars. Pontiac firebirds in particular. Above all else,Tim was a devoted family man. There was never a more patient, kindhearted, forgiving and loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He shared his passion of racing and car shows with his Father, Brother and Sons. He was a willing participant for a ‘professional’ cosmetic makeover and manicure by his Granddaughter, and would become a nefarious villain for his “Spiderman” Grandson to capture. Traveling was a passion that he shared with his wife; they were planning a trip for their 30th anniversary. There are many wonderful family memories that will be cherished. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews: Josh Lockwood of Rochester, Riky & Meah Ford of Greenwood (Canisteo) and Matthew & Dori Copenhaver of Rochester. At the wishes of the family, there will be no funeral or viewing; instead there will be a private burial ceremony. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made in Tim’s name to the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Department or the Andover Volunteer Fire Department.
