Obituary of David C. Tears Sr.

David C. Tears Sr. (February 27, 1957 – November 2, 2021) David (Pops, Papa, Bam-Bam, Big Dave) C. Tears Sr. was a kind, loyal and loving dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, and friend. Sadly, he departed this world on November 2, 2021, in the early morning at Olean General Hospital, at the age of 64. He was born in Rochester General Hospital in Rochester, New York to Theadora Forgue on February 27, 1957. He grew up in Webster, New York causing havoc with his siblings, and childhood friends while he lived in the area. Later in life he grew new roots in Allegany County. He continued to cause havoc while he started a family. He is survived by his children: David and Candi Tears (Belfast, NY), Shannon Tears (Angelica, NY) and Chasity Pendelton (Olean, NY), and Tina and Jerome Patterson (Nunda, NY), 6 Grandchildren: Haley (Zack), Stephen, Gabrielle, Emily, Papa’s big boy T.J, and Hayley, 2 Great-grandsons: Danny and Jaushiwa, Brothers: Terrance Tears (Hunt, NY), Kenny Barth (Belfast, NY), Brian Barth (Knob Noster, MO), and Ken “Wolfie” (Samantha) Stout (Hunt, NY). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews as well as beloved extended family members and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Theadora and sister Susie. The one thing that David held close was family. He was the kind of man that always saw the good in someone and always encouraged us all to let go of the past and move forward because family is and always will be everything. He always supported his family and friends in all they did no matter what. He was known for his sarcasm during any given situations. He enjoyed the havoc he caused on the CB radio with his handle Bam-Bam. He enjoyed the hate and discontent he could create when he was Bam-Bam. Laughter was in his DNA which is why his smile could light up a room. Many times, you could watch him attempt to sing Elvis when he had tipped back a few cold ones. He will forever be in our memories and held close in our hearts. The family will be having a Celebration of Life in his honor on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Island Park in Friendship, New York. The Celebration of Life and Luncheon will start at 2:00 p.m. until the celebration is done. All are invited to share stories and memories.
