Obituary of James S. O'Rourke

James S. O’Rourke Rush James S. O’Rourke, 86, passed away Friday (Nov. 5, 2021) in Rochester where he had resided since 1954. He was born in Hornell the son of Stoddard and Inez Barker O’Rourke, and retired after more than 32 years as an electrician for E.I. Dupont in Rochester. He was predeceased by his parents, a sister; Dorothy Lomedico and a brother; Thomas O’Rourke. Surviving are his sister; Dolores Houghtaling of Hornell, his half- sister; Donna Dow of Clyde, NY, his sister-in-law; Betty O’Rourke of Erwin, several nieces and nephews including Joseph (Cheryl) Lomedico of Rush who were his care givers for the past several years. The family will be present to receive friends on Wednesday (Nov. 10, 2021) at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell from 10 AM until 12 Noon where funeral services will follow calling hours at Noon. Rev. Jesse Flint will officiate. Burial will follow at Heritage Hill Cemetery in Arkport.
