Florence T. “Flo” Barrett (McDonald) passed away peacefully in AdventHealth Dade City Hospital on November 5, 2021 in Dade City, Florida at the age of 77. Florence is survived by her husband Geoffrey Barrett of Angelica, NY, Children; Steven Krajink of Allegany, NY, Johanna (James) Bowman of Allegany, NY, Edward Harding of Allegany, NY, Stepchildren; James (Lynette) Barrett of Palm Coast, FL, Pamela (Corey) Cockle of Angelica, NY, (8) grandchildren, (11) great grandchildren, Siblings; Patricia Milewski of Cheektowaga, NY, Louise Montgomery of Cheektowaga, NY, John (Jackie) McDonald of El Paso, TX, Cecelia Doknovich of Belfast, NY and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by father John McDonald of Clymer, NY, mother Elizabeth (Malecki) McDonald of Buffalo, NY, Grandson Justin Elliott of Olean, NY, Siblings: Elizabeth Hugg of Ripley, NY, Francis Buszka of Buffalo, NY, Edward McDonald of Bear Lake, PA, Mary Oliveri of Harding, PA, Gertrude Barringer of Sherman, NY. Florence was born on January 3, 1944 in Buffalo, NY to John and Elizabeth (Malecki) McDonald. She graduated from Clymer Central School in 1961 with a degree in Home Economics. She took night classes at Erie Community College and received a Certificate in Dietary Nutrition in 1976. She pursued a career in food service in which she worked at varies health care facilities and restaurants. She married Geoffrey Barrett in 1988 where they built a loving life together in Angelica, NY. Florence had an exceptional talent beyond others in the area of cake decorating, baking cookies and making Easter chocolates. She also enjoyed making crafts. She liked floating on her pontoon boat. But I have to say the thing she loved most in life was spending time with her family and friends. There will be a visitation at Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Angelica, NY on December 18, 2021, from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm. A Private Memorial Service immediately following officiated by Pastor Matthew McDonald.
