Richard Jim Neeley
Hornell
(Known by Jim or Jimmy) passed away Saturday, Nov. 20th after a brief illness. Born in Hornell, NY, he grew up in Alfred, NY where he worked as a custodian at Suny Alfred until his retirement. He later resided at Woodlawn Mobile Home Park in Hornell, NY.
For years, Jim was an active member of the YMCA and enjoyed gardening as a hobby. He had a passion for the vehicles that he owned over the years.
Although he had no children of his own, he enjoyed spending time with his siblings, nieces and nephews, and their children. He always helped and provided for others. He can be described by his loved ones as a generous man with compassion, wisdom, spirit, and humor. Jim created many fond memories and will be severely missed.
He was predeceased by his parents; James F. Neeley and Orlena M. (Bussard) Neeley, a brother; Ward F. Neeley and a sister; Joan M. Hysner as well as a brother in law; William (Bill) Rudloff.
Survivors include; his sister; Norma J. Rudloff, brother; Donald (Susan) Neeley, sister; Rita M. White, brother; Rodney (Theresa) Neeley, a sister in law; Carol Neeley and a few generations of several nieces and nephews who remained close with him.
No services will be held at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
