Luella Kittell, 87 a resident of Purdy “Creek Road, Town of Hartsville, passed away Saturday (Nov. 27, 2021) in Syracuse.
She was born in the Town of Hartsville, June 13, 1934, the daughter of Edgar and Elzora Spencer Combs. She and her husband had resided in Syracuse for 30 years before returning to Canisteo where they resided for over 25 years before his death in 2019.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Thomas, her daughter; Diane Davis, her son; Robert J. Kittell, her sisters; Gloria Jean Scott, Ella Woodworth, and her brothers; Hiram “Philip Combs, Frederick Combs and Edgar “Butch” Combs.
Surviving are her daughters; Susan (Richard) Martin of Warners, and Linda (Kenneth) Donofrio of Baldwinsville, her sister; Betty Caple of Hartsville, daughter-in-law; Norine Kittell, 13 grandchildren, 16 Great Grandchildren, and 2 great great Grandchildren.
Honoring Luella’s wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A private graveside service and burial will be held for the family at Hartsville Center Cemetery.
The family is being assisted by Gerald R. Brown, Director at Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Canisteo.
