Please share a memory of Ransom to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ransom "Randy" F. Guild Passed in peace, December 22nd, 2021 at the age of 79. He is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Elaine "Sue" Guild (Moore). Loving father of Melissa (Jeremy) Badeau, and Melinda (Mike) Kellogg. Very proud Grandfather of Jacob, Sara, and Andrew Badeau, Morgan Becher, and Brooke Shultz. Also survived by his dear sister Betty (Jack) Bossard, and his brothers Millard (Hazel) Guild, Carl Guild, and Donald (Marlene) Guild. Further survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Randy was predeceased by his son Jason Ray Guild and his parents Edwin and Florence Guild. Several local "kids" grew up coming to his shop for guidance and support through the years. He was a proud patriot and US Navy Veteran. Randy spent 35 years at Foster Wheeler as a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. But everyone knew him for his love of antique and classic cars. He may not have always remembered your name, but he would always remember you by your car! He enjoyed his time with his friends in the Chemung Valley Region AACA, and was a member of the Buick Club, the Reatta Club, and the Oldsmobile Club. Over the years he had many different classic cars, one of his favorites being a 1961 Oldsmobile 98 Convertible. Randy has been a member of the Arkport United Methodist Church where the church family has been a source of comfort and support. The family will hold a celebration of life in the spring, more details will follow. Tributes can be made in his name in the form of donations to the Arkport United Methodist Church (PO Box 146, 34 West Ave, Arkport, NY 14807-0146), or to Wreaths Across America for the Veterans at Bath National Cemetery (wreathsacrossamerica.org, select Bath National Cemetery location).
