Albert George Willmart Sr. Angelica Albert G. Willmart Sr., 84, of Olean Street, and a long time former resident of Birdsall, passed away Thursday (January 13, 2022) at the Buffalo VAMC. He was born on December 23, 1937 in Potsdam, NY the son of George and Connie Willmart. He went on to serve in the US Navy from 1956-1960, and was released honorably from the reserves in 1962. Albert owned and operated the Birdsall Bargain Barn for many years, and after retirement moved to Angelica. He was known to be a hard worker, and enjoyed fishing. He was predeceased by his parents, his son William Willmart, his sister Nancy Flanagan, and his brother Dale Willmart. He is survived by his long-time companion Cecilia Peterson of Angelica, his son Albert (Teresa)Willmart “AJ” Jr. of Portageville, his granddaughters Brittany, Kaylee, Alberta, Mary Jo, and Regina. There will be no services, but a funeral dinner will be planned for a later date. Funeral arrangements are with the Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Angelica.
