Marion A. Puffer Addison Marion A. Puffer, 87, of County Route 2, Town of Thurston, passed away Friday (March 25, 2022) at his home Born in Hartsville, Feb. 2, 1935, the son of Isaac and Mildred Stephens Puffer, he was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1955. He had resided the past 54 years in the Town of Thurston. He had been employed as a machine operator for Ingersoll Rand in Painted Post. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Edith Puffer; his brothers, Gerald P and Robert Puffer; and his granddaughter, Audrey Zuchowski. Surviving are his wife; Helen Smith Puffer, 3 daughters; Mary (Curtis) Schoonover, Dianna (Darren) Ollis, and Pamela (Jeffrey) Zuchowski, 4 sons; John (Kim) Puffer, Alan (Susan) Puffer, Scot (Denise) Puffer and Chris (Margaret) Puffer, 2 brothers; Monroe (Joanne) Puffer of Hornell and Jim (Lois) Puffer of Corning, 20 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. The family will be present to receive friends at the Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 6 Spruce Street in Canisteo, NY on Thursday (March 31, 2022) from 11 AM until 1 PM with a funeral service following calling hours at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Canisteo.
