Venecia M. Charles Hornell Venecia M. Charles, 98 of Lower Glen Avenue, passed away Monday (April 4, 2022) at her home. Born in North Hornell, May 30, 1923, the daughter of Clayton and Mary Osborne Ploss, she was a graduate of Hornell High School and had resided her entire life in Hornell. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Thomas Charles, and her sisters Evonna Peterson, and Evelyn Jackson Surviving are her daughter, Donna (Joe) Hooper of North Hornell ; Her son, Thomas (Barbara) Charles of Marysville, PA, and her sister, Wilda Peterson of Ohio, 3 grandchildren; Michael Charles, Kimberlee Charles and Deanna Charles, 3 great grandchildren, Bethany Charles, Adam Edkin and Darion Hawkins. The family will be holding a private family service at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell, with Rev. Dudley Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Cemetery in Hornell.
