GEORGIANNE (LOREE) BARTLETT
Georgianne Bartlett passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children and grandchildren in the early morning hours of June 6, 2022. She graduated from Hornell High School in 1965. Georgianne was born on September 25, 1946 to the late Irene (Stewart) and George Loree. She was a lifelong area resident of Hornell. She was a stay-at-home mom and later became the co-owner of Home Glass Service for over 40 years.
She raised and is survived by her three children Deborah (Pete) Ambuski of Canisteo, Philip (Gretchen Cleveland) Bartlett of Arkport, and Teresa (Allison) Bartlett of Thomasville Georgia. The thing that brought her the biggest joy was her four grandchildren Logan and Savannah Ambuski, Vanessa Bartlett, and Oliver Bartlett. Georgianne is also survived by her best friend and sister Sonia (Gerald) Recktenwald. She was proceeded in death by her companion of 33 years, love of her life Mark S. Dodge in January 2020 and her three brothers, Tom (Peg) Loree, Robert Loree, and Alan (Sandy) Loree.
Georgianne took great pride in preparing a good meal! She loved to have people over to entertain. It was said that she made the “Best Wings in Town!” Often you could find her on the dance floor anytime the music was playing – she loved to dance. But her biggest love and passion was her children and grandchildren which she loved with her whole heart!
Special thanks to Karen Grillo of CareFirst who took care of Georgianne for over a year and Tender Loving In Home Care who took special care of her over the past few days. Thank you to Denise (Crane/Bartlett) Tenny for stepping in and helping when the family needed it most!
At Georgianne’s request there will be no calling hours or burial services.
Funeral arrangements are with the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell.
