Debra Ann McElhenny, 62 of State Route 21, passed away Wednesday (July 20, 2022) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
Born in Hornell, October 2, 1959, she was the daughter of Gerald and Patricia Hanks Barney. She was a graduate of Alfred Almond Central School and received her Associates Degree from Alfred State College. She had made her home in the Almond- Hornell area all her life.
She wore many hats while being employed for the Fred C. Johnson & Son Blacktopping Company over the last 30 years. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time in the yard gardening and building beautiful rock flower beds. She loved spending time with her family especially spoiling her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents.
Surviving are her life long partner, Kevin Johnson of Hornell, her sons, Ryan (Stephanie) McElhenny of Virginia and Christopher McElhenny of Hornell, her brother, Michael (Patty) Barney of Scio and three grandchildren, Oliver, Harrison and Lincoln McElhenny.
