Ruth S. Raycroft, 69 of County Route 42, Alfred Station, passed away peacefully on Friday (Sept. 2, 2022) at the home of her daughter in Hornell.
Born December 18, 1952 in Hornell, she was the daughter of Francis and Ruth Hall Baumgarten. She had resided her entire life in Hornell.
Ruth was a member of the Hornell Association and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Canisteo American Legion. Ruth will be remembered for her love of animals.
She was predeceased by her parents, her sister; Alice Mosher and her brother; Larry Harwood.
Surviving are her long- time companion, Larry Allen of Alfred Station, her daughters, Rosemary (Jason) Stryker of Hornell, Roxana Raycroft(Creg Kerr Jr.) of Hornell and Amy (Brandon) Raycroft of Florida, her son, Alan (Hannah) Raycroft of Hornell and step son, Kevin Allen of Idaho, her sisters, Dian (Steve) DiPasquale of Virginia, Eva (Mike) Coleman of Virginia, Pam (David) Hitchcock of Rochester and Susan (Art) Hollabaugh of Florida, her sister-in-law, Pat Harwood of Hornell, her brothers, John (Stacy) Baumgarten of Florida, Joseph (Nicole) Baumgarten of Greenwood and brother-in-law, Art Mosher of Hornell, 13 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
The family will be present to receive friends on Tuesday (September 6) from 4-6PM at The Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street, Hornell where funeral services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating.
