Frank R. Eveland 76, of Airport Road, passed away Tuesday (Sept. 13, 2022) at St. James Hospital.
Born in Hornell, March 1, 1946, the son of James and Annie Roselli Eveland, Frank was a graduate of Hornell High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army from 1966 until 1968, and later re-enlisted and served from 1971 until 1974.
Frank had been employed as a corrections officer for 25 years at the Groveland Correctional Facility prior to his retirement.
He was predeceased by his parents, his daughter Anna and son Neal Eveland in 1978, and their mother, Becky Shinebarger Eveland in 2006 and his sister, Julie Bossard.
Surviving are his wife, Toko Sherman Eveland of Hornell, his daughters, Shannon Eveland of Canisteo and Elizabeth Eveland of Bath, his sons, Jeffery Eveland of Buffalo and Marc Eveland of Andover, his brothers, James, Harvey, David, Joseph and Robert Eveland and several grandchildren who he loved dearly.

Family and friends are invited to calling hours on Saturday (Sept. 24, 2022) from 10 AM until 12 Noon at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell where his son, Marc Eveland will officiate at a time of sharing at Noon. A private Burial with military honors will be held on Monday (Sept. 26, 2022) at Bath National Cemetery.
