Joan C. “Jody” Boyd

Belfast

Jody C. Boyd, 75, entered Heaven on Tuesday (October 18, 2022) at Absolut at Houghton Nursing Home where she had been a longtime resident.

She was born in Cuba, NY on June 21, 1947 the daughter of George Boyd and Gertrude M. Hanft Boyd. She was a lifelong area resident except for living in Colorado with her mom for about 10 years. Jody was a member of the Belfast Free Methodist Church. She had many likes including: crafting, and crocheting. Jody loved to travel and was a human GPS (long before GPS), she could remember any turn and had a photographic memory when it came to directions in general. Anybody who knew Jody also knew that she had a true passion for all animals but had broad knowledge and true passion for wolves.

She was predeceased by her parents, her 2 sisters Corinne B. Crosby and Dorothy “Dot” Zuver.

She is survived by her 2 sisters Betty Weaver of Belfast, and June (John) Lamonski of NC, numerous nieces, nephews and multiple great nieces and nephews.

A private Graveside Service was held on Saturday (October 22, 2022) at Riverside Cemetery in Belfast with Pastor Jonathan Coates officiating.
