Lisa Raechele Denning

Lisa R. Denning, 46 of County Rd 17 passed peacefully on Friday (October 28, 2022) at Olean General Hospital.

She was born in Wellsville, the daughter of Richard Eugene Denning and Ethel Marion Gross on January 11, 1976. Lisa went on to become a teacher of 20+ years, spending most of her time at Belfast Central School. She had worked at Cartwright’s Maple Tree Inn and Harrington’s ShurFine. She enjoyed reading, and spending time with her kids, as well as being a Nonnie to her two grandchildren. For her, family was a huge part of her life. She dedicated her spare time over the years to supporting the community and school district. She was very dedicated to sports and the student body.

She is survived by her mother, Ethel Denning, spouse James Caiazza, beloved children Kayla, Caleb, and Colden Caiazza, and two beloved grandchildren Weston and Wrenlee Hamm. As well as numerous sisters, a brother, nieces, nephews, and their children.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday (November 1, 2022) from 4-8 p.m at Brown and Powers Funeral Home in 101 West Avenue in Angelica. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday (November 2, 2022) at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Cemetery in Belfast with Pastor Dennis Doell officiating. The service will be live on the funeral homes Facebook page listed below.
