Dorothy M. Hurlburt, 94, formerly of Scott Street passed away Monday (Dec. 5, 2022) at Noyes Hospital in Dansville.
Born in Wayland, Sept. 23, 1928, she was the daughter of Alvin and Martha Sick Drum. She moved to Hornell about 1950 where she resided until moving to Dansville.
Dorothy was an active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Hornell and a member of the former Ivanhoe Chapter #160, Order of Eastern Star.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Robert Hurlburt in 1987 and her brother, Charles Drum.
Surviving are her sons, David (Helen) Hurlburt of Dansville and Daniel (Olga Arango of Queens, NY, her sisters, Edna Marino of Hornell, Jane (Ronald) Rasmussen of Narrowsburg, NY, Alice Colegrove of Springwater, Irene (Dean) Kiefer of Cohocton and Helen (Robert) Rasmussen of Rochester, her brothers, Ernest (Jean Ann) Drum of Florida and Walter (Vicky) Drum of Loon Lake, her grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric Braughler) Swift, Melissa (Sean) Macmillan, Danielle (Mario) Perez, and Megan (Anthony) Kelly, 7 great grandchildren.

The family will be present to receive friends on Friday (Dec. 9, 2022) from 1 PM until 3 PM at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell where funeral services will follow calling hours at 3 PM. Fr. Thomas Gramley and The Rev. Cindy Rasmussen will officiate. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery in Hornell.
