LINDA (KNUCKLES) GAYNOR

Born March 12, 1962, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2022 surrounded by her Family. She was predeceased by her Mother and Father Doris Gaynor (Burdick) and Charles F. Gaynor. Her Brother’s Alfred, Ernie and Teddy Gaynor along with her Sister Beatrice Snyder (Barry Snyder) and her beloved Nephews Jeffrey & Douglas Brown. She is survived by her Brother’s, Charles Gaynor, Elbert Gaynor, Pete Gaynor and Sister’s Ruth Baker, Marian Burdick (Ron Burdick), Mary Brown (Doug Brown)along with many Nieces and Nephews.

Linda attended Alfred-Almond Central School and later attended Glenmont job corp. where she received her GED.  Throughout the years, Linda held several jobs in which she put her heart and soul into.  Linda developed everlasting relationships with her “work family”. She took much pride in her work at the Italian Villa and treasured the time spent with her best friends, Richard Argentieri  and Aunt Diane.

Linda was an active member of the Bills Mafia. Those of you that knew Linda knew her for her tenacious personality and “fighting spirit”. She spent many of her days cheering on the Bills with her closest friends, Miss Chrissy and Mr. Larry.

She was a dedicated Aunt and Great Aunt, spending much of her time at her great Nieces and Nephews sporting events. If she was on the bleachers, you knew it and so did everyone else. She proclaimed herself as the Family “Bodyguard” and prided herself in her role as their Aunty.

There will be no calling hours at her request. A small family burial will be held at the Alfred Rural Cemetery at a time later to be determined.

Funeral arrangements are with the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home in Hornell. To leave a condolence for the family please visit www.brownandpowersfuneralhomes.com or on Facebook @brownpowersfh, the family is being assisted by director Chester A. Gosper IV.
