Donald R. Dennis

After almost 5 years of waiting, Dad was reunited with the love of his life, Linda and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  During  the last days of his journey, family and friends reunited with him in the hospital to reminisce and say farewell.  Sunday night, his children gathered to give a final hug, and say good-bye……. for now. We let him know that we understood that it was time to go home to be with Mom.  With a deep sigh and a look of peace, Dad completed his life’s journey.

Donald Ray Dennis was born February 25, 1936 to Clair and Esther Dennis, He was the second oldest of six children.  Previously passed, his siblings;  MaryAnne, Janet and Kathy and brothers Andy and Carlton as well as his parents, celebrated his homecoming.

On January 29, 1955, Donald Ray Dennis married Linda Lou Brownell.  They began their married life in Wellsville, but soon relocated to the farm on the hill outside of Canaseraga.   Five children, Donna, Connie, Denny, Cindy and Jeff were born.  As the years went by the children grew, as did the farm.  Eventually Don and Linda settled on the farm in Bishopville.  After retiring from farming, Dad began trucking cattle, with the help of Mom, his daughter Cindy, his granddaughter Becky and great granddaughter Claire.

After Mom passed away, June 6, 2018.  Dad continued to reside in Bishopville with the companionship of his granddaughter Becky.  He often expressed his gratitude for the family that he was blessed with and loved so much.
