Colette R. Mead age 65 of East Washington Street, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2023 at her home surrounded by family.

 

She was born in Bath, New York on July 24, 1957 the daughter of Barbara Flanagan Nankivell, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a former member of the Hornell Eagles Club, and had worked for many years at Elder-Care Home in Hornell as a Nurses Aide.

 

She was predeceased by her mother Barbara Nankivell, her step father Winston Nankivell and a great grandchild Billie Jean Hill.

 

She is survived by her husband Lawrence Mead, her son Steven Mead, daughters Jennifer (Bruce) Hill,  Amanda Mead, 2 brothers Francis (Diana) Updyke and Raymond (Peggy) Nankivell, 14 grandchildren Dahl, Jake, Cathleen, Amber, Zach, Hayley, Brooke, Edwin Bruce Jr., Lilly, Austin, Nathan, Peyton and Kynsley, several great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

The family is observing a private Graveside Service and burial will be at St Marys Cemetery in Fremont, with Pastor Gary Miles officiatng.
