Linda J. Hosmer, 74, a resident of Maple Court Homes, passed away Sunday (May 14, 2023 at St. James Hospital.
Born in North Hornell, April 9, 1949, she was the daughter of Ben F. and Jean Hurlburt and had resided most all her life in Hornell. Linda was employed in the Cafeteria at the Hornell High School. She enjoyed music, knitting and crocheting.
Linda was a woman of strong faith which she practiced throughout her life.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Eugene Hosmer, her sister Susan McDaniels, and her brother, David Hurlburt,
Surviving are four sons, Bernard (Denise) Hults, Roger (Samantha Allen ) Hults, Benjamin (Beth) Hults, and Brett Hults all of Hornell. Her sisters, Kathleen (Martin) Eddy of Alfred Station, Christine Hassig Rowe of Livonia and Debra (Rodney) Finney of Bath, her brother Stephen (Sue) Hurlburt of Hornell, Four grandchildren, Tyler Hults, Collin Hults, Kaitlyn Hults and Teal Hults, great grand daughter, Scarlette Jackson, many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home, 354 Canisteo Street in Hornell on Thursday (May 18, 2023) from 1 until 3PM when a funeral service will be held with Deacon Robert McCormick officiating. Burial will be in Fremont Cemetery, Stephens Mills.
