Michael Eugene Lorow, 63, passed away May 29, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was a 1977 graduate of Hornell High School and then became a truck driver, driving for several local companies. His stories of being on the road entertained family and friends for many years.
Those who knew Michael, knew him as an intelligent, talented, kind and gentle person who was approachable by people and animals alike.
He was a self taught musician proficient in guitar, and keyboard. He performed in several bands through the years and settled with a solo career playing in many establishments throughout the Southern Tier of New York.
Michael was a member of the Institute of Devine Metaphysical Research for 45 years and was a faithful servant to Yahweh.
He was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Joyce Lorow of Howard, NY and brother, Donald E. Lorow of Canisteo.
He is survived by his wife, Lucinda, one son, Michael (Morgan) Lorow of Hamburg PA., three daughters, Jennifer Slavetskas of Binghamton, NY, Corah Lorow and Hanna Rose of Angelica.
He adored his grandchildren, Adalyn, Autumn, and Brandon Lorow, Ben Slavetskas, and Kaitlyn , Madison and Christopher Rose.
He is also survived by his brother, Jeff (Mary Ellen) Lorow of Lancaster, SC.,Cindy (Mike) Cartella of Howard, NY, Becky (Paul) Dean of Howard, NY and sister in law, Stephanie Lorow of Canisteo.
Michael leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that will cherish the love and fun memories of such a remarkable person. He will be greatly missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
