            Hornell

Christine A. Dineen, 72 of Kansas Avenue, passed away Sunday (June 11, 2023) at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.

Born in North Hornell, July 2, 1950, the daughter of Theodore and Louise Lepsch Thomas, she was a graduate of Canisteo Central School, Class of 1968.  Chris had spent her early life in Canisteo, prior to moving to Hornell in the late 60’s.

She had been employed for 11 years at the office of Dr. Alan Robbins. She then worked  as assistant manager for Support Services at the Steuben ARC and later worked  13 years as office manager/ bookkeeper at the A.L. Monaghan Accounting office in Hornell.  

Chris was past president of the Irving School PTA, was an avid quilter, and member of the Park’s Patches Quilting Guild.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her infant daughter in 1966.

Surviving are her daughter, Sandra L. (David) Arcieri of Florida, her sons, Marc (Echo Yeoman) Dineen of Howard, and Shawn Dineen of Hornell, 2 sisters, Margaret “Peg” Clairmont of Florida and Kim Gardner of Hornell, 3 brothers, Ronald (Sally) Thomas of Tennessee, Steven Thomas of Arkport and Stuart Thomas of Canisteo, 4 grandchildren, Kevin and Kelsey Arcieri, Destiny Jackson and Dylan Dineen, 3 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

It was Chris’s wishes that there be no calling hours. Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday (June 24, 2023) at 1pm at Hillside Cemetery in Canisteo. Rev. Lenny Fuller will officiate.
