Leo W. Wood Jr.
Hornell
Leo W. Wood Jr., 70 a resident of Maple Court Homes, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Tuesday (Sept. 26, 2023).
Leo was born in Rochester, May 9, 1953 the son of Leo Wood Sr. and Lillian Jones. He spent his early life in Dansville and moved to Hornell as an adult. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, NASCAR and especially fishing.
He was predeceased by his parents, sisters, Sue Wood, Ann Marie Roberts and Louise Creller, and his brother- Leon Wood.
Surviving are his sisters, Carrie Butler, Helen Recktenwald, Kathy Wood and Tracy Anne Wood all of Hornell, his special niece and caregiver, Jenny McGregor of Andover., his brothers, Teddy Wood of Hornell and Leo Wood III of Savona.
At Leo’s request there will be no services. A Celebration Of Life will be posted at a later date.
Service arrangements are entrusted to Bender-Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Hornell.
