Martin Jerome “Tiger”  Feldbauer

Martin Jerome “Tiger” Feldbauer 65, of Ulysses Pennsylvania passed away peacefully with family present on September 28, 2023.

Tiger was predeceased by his parents Josephine and James and Carolyn.  In addition to his wife, Mary, Tiger is survived by his siblings, Michael Feldbauer (Gregory Shelly) of Belmont, Mark (Lorie Waite) Feldbauer of Gilbert, AZ, Mary Jo (Jim) McNinch of Belmont, Kate Handy (John Nicholas) of Ithaca and Jim (Stephanie) Feldbauer of Stamford, stepdaughters Melissa, Crystal and Sonya and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and step-grandchildren.

Tiger grew up in Belmont, graduating from Belmont Central in 1976.  He graduated from Alfred AG Tech with an Associate Degree in Diesel Mechanics and went on to work all over the country on road construction and infrastructure.  There was not a machine or project, big or small, that he didn’t believe he could fix.  He always said he was like a kid in a sandbox.  The toys just got bigger.  He lived most of his life on the east coast, specifically Keene and Manchester, New Hampshire.  He went up there on a job shortly after he graduated, fell in love with the area and called it home.  He did eventually move back to New York.

In 2016, Tiger married Mary Atkins Brownell and they moved to Ulysses, PA, where Tiger spent his last years gardening and building smaller sandboxes for Mary’s twin grandsons, who adored Tiger and called him, “Papa.”

Putting someone’s life into a couple of paragraphs is always difficult.  With Tiger it’s nearly impossible.  He was a fierce friend, a loving husband, son, brother and uncle.  He was bigger than life and it’s hard to believe he’s gone from us.  We’ll miss him terribly and hold onto the best memories of the unique person he was.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday October 6, 2023 at Brown and Powers Funeral Home in Angelica. Calling hours from 12-2 PM with a service of remembrance at 2 PM.
