Kenneth J. McLaughlin, 79, Willow Bend has went to Dj the family party in the sky on Saturday (Sept.30, 2023).
Born in Corning, October 6, 1943, he was the son of Kenneth J. Mc Laughlin Sr. and Ellen Knittner McLaughlin. Ken proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy from 1962-1969. He was a member of the Canisteo American Legion Post. He was the life of the party and a bad influence on multiple generations of McLaughlins as well as great friend and mentor to anybody who entered his garage.
He was predeceased by his parents, and the love of his life Diana McLaughlin, his daughter, Amanda Jo McLaughlin and his brothers, Douglas and Patrick McLaughlin.
Surviving are his daughters, Mary Jo McLaughlin of Colorado, Tracey (Nathan) Hagadone of Elmira, Tina Dombert of Canisteo, his son, Michael McLaughlin of Hornell, his sisters, Kay (Darwin) Miles of Hartsville, Barbara Leach of Kentucky and Ellen McLaughlin of Wellsville, several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Honoring Ken’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery, Hornell.
The family is being assisted by Gerald R. Brown, Director at Brown & Powers Funeral Home of Canisteo.
