Adeline J. Baird age 95 passed away peacefully on Thursday (October 12, 2023) with her daughter at her side at Maple City Nursing Home.
She was born in St. Clemens, Michigan on March 13, 1928 the daughter of Frederick Pulkowsky and Louise Slatt Pulkowsky. She was a loving mother to her daughter Diane and was also a loving and caring foster mother to several different families. She had lived in Greenwood for many years, and moved to Hornell many years ago. Adeline was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW and enjoyed ironing and housekeeping for several other people.
She was predeceased by her parents, her husband John J. Baird in 2001, and her 4 sisters Gloria Masterson, Catherine Ingalls, Bernice Greenthal and Frieda Kemp.
She is survived by her daughter Diane Benedict of Fremont, her brother Louis (Teresa) Pulkowsky of Hornell, and several nieces and nephews.
Honoring Adeline’s wishes, there will be no public calling visitation. Burial will be at St Marys Cemetery in Fremont.
