I had many memories with john and he was so sweet and funny, we weren’t on the best terms when he passed and that will haunt me till the day i pass, that i was to stubborn to set aside the stupid reason i wasn’t talking to him for.. i would say the best moments with him was midnight walks when he would come to my house.. but now my favorite moments with him is being alone with his beautiful gravestone.. i can talk to him and tell him anything and things i wouldn’t ever tell anybody else because i know he’s listening, just like he did when he was here.

I am so sorry for the loss of your son, Jonathan. I had him in homeroom and in art class. Even though he was with my older students, he always did such an excellent job on his artwork. It was one of those things he found joy in doing. During homeroom, we would always find time to chat. I know there is nothing that can take your pain and sorrow away, but hope the memories of him help you through this most difficult time. I will keep you in my prayers and thoughts. Know that he was loved deeply.

i remember the first day i met him. i was in canisteo for abt a month. he randomly showed up at the corner like we always do in the morning. didn’t think much of it new people come all the time. well later we seen each other in the hallway wit his big huge bright smile. we then had lunch love making all of us laugh. all the different voices he had to make impressions were great. always checked up on me. i remember when he wanted to leave early from lunch so i helped. he went out the other door while i distracted the teacher. he peeked one last time smiled nd laughed. then vanished never seen him in lunch again. i was so proud after i found out her was super smart nd starting boces. thank you for the other fun memories. i will see you again someday. i wish i got to eat our lunch together one last time.

Jonathan was my fifth grade student. He always offered to share his breakfast with me, talk about cooking, and give hugs. I will always remember Jonathan's smile and a phrase he said often using a humorous accent, "Hey, I'm working here!". Be in peace, Jonathan. ❤️
